Sutter Cancer Centers in Sacramento and Roseville are certified by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer (COC) signifying that they meet the stringent guidelines and reporting standards set forth by the commission.

Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento is a member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers and is ACoS COC-certified as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program (COMP), indicating the center treats 650 or more cases each year.

Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento; Sutter Cancer Center, Sacramento; Sutter Roseville Medical Center; Sutter Davis Hospital; and Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital are accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and are designated Hospital Quality Alliance Participants. In 2003, Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento earned JCAHO's Franklin Award of Distinction honoring "a case management system that demonstrates excellence in building collaboration among the various professional and technical staff in the hospital to focus on case management and performance measurement results having a positive effect on patient care." Research Affiliations
Sutter Cancer Centers are affiliated through the National Cancer Institute's Cooperative Group Outreach Program, which allows the centers to participate in NCI-sponsored clinical trials. In addition, the Sutter Cancer Centers are members of the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG), Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) (through Radiological Associates of Sacramento Medical Group), Children's Oncology Group (COG) (Sacramento), and National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP). In addition, the centers conduct approved clinical trials in conjunction with medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies.
